A woman-insect dancing in the spanish desert; and old lady who melt betwen the walls,
the furniture, and the pain of her husband. Explosions of red, things full of expresión and with
a tendence to become something else… The spaces and atmospheres let themselves being used to
reproduce the extraordinary world that moves in Miren Marañón´s head.
Production designer, art director and costume designer this spanish woman, based in London,
reaches to every work a complete concept where the colours, the textures and the second readings
make them something really creative.
With studies in Fine Arts and Production Design, her carier started five years ago in Madrid
in Artefacto, a company that worked in the art department for the Guillermo del Toro´s Oscar
winning film “Pan's Labrynth”. In the last five years Miren Marañón has developed her work
in countries with cultures as inspirationals as the Italian –she worked in FABRICA, Benetton's
research and communication center-, or the Japanesse –she participate in the pre-production of
the film “Onimusha”.
Back in october 2008 to Europe she has worked in London in different artistic and audiovisual
projects: As production designer in the film, "First Days Of Spring" by Tomboy Films and
Parkville Pictures; or in the short, “Scent” by Blueprint Film. As art director she has participated
in Music Videos like Emiliana Torrini’s "Jungle Drum" by RSA.
With the base of her developing career in the Film Industry, Miren continue giving a part of her
creativity, strength and obsessions in other areas like photography, art or publicity.
