THE NEW YORKER

Photographer: Lorenzo Vitturi
Prod: Industry Art

Featuring Salvatore Ferragamo, Pucci and Max Mara. Italy.

This Series of Images were designed for the 2017 March issue of The New Yorker Magazine. In Italy, designers maintain their own archives, used for both preservation and inspiration. We had the pleasure to be invited to elaborate a series of images that represent the essence of each of them, starting from the handcraft uniqueness of Salvatore Ferragamo followed by the colourful and chic Pucci to end with Max Mara's well-cut and practical elegance. In this pictures you will find pieces made or wore by icons such us Judy Garland, Carmen Miranda, Marilyn Monroe and Audrey Hepburn.

The idea was to visit these fashion houses and talk with the people who work there and have created these archives with the purpose of finding the essence that makes these three fashion houses so unique . We were given freedom to use and choose anything inside the archives from the final pieces to the materials, tools and even the actual architecture of the archives to create our images and backgrounds.
