To coincide with the 2016 Salone del Mobile in Milan, the Italian luxury leather goods company Valextra and international photographer Lorenzo Vitturi joined forces to created a series of new window displays, a new advertising campaign and a towering sculpture i+n the centre of the brand’s Milan flagship shop.
Inspired by the brand’s iconic styles and by the die cuts used by the artisans to make the actual products, we mixed the bags and template scraps with unusual objects, using organic and synthetic materials such as paper, plexiglass and other curious and strange items. The idea was to create a series of collages of contrasting colours and shapes that deconstruct and reconstruct the distinctive elements that establish the Valextra’s designs.
